Hello, welcome to 6th Grade! My name is Mrs. Van, and I am very excited to begin my third year teaching here at Lincoln Middle School! I grew up not far from here in Forest Park, but now live in Chicago with my husband and two daughters. I have a two year old and 6 month old who keep me busy! I received my Bachelors degree in History and Secondary Education from Loyola University Chicago in 2010. I went on to get my Masters in Special Education from Concordia University in 2015. I enjoy cooking, road trips, biking, spending time with family and checking out new restaurants in the city. I am thrilled to meet all the new incoming 6th grade students and look forward to a great and productive school year!
Hi! My name is Ms.Williams. I have been working in the district for 13 years. This will be my 1st year teaching 6th grade Humanities. I graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s degree in Education, and I went to National Louis University to complete my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my dog Georgia, reading, painting and spending time with my friends and family. I am looking forward to the coming school year!
Hi everyone! I’m Mr. Katz-Mariani and I am stoked to start the new year. I graduated from the University of Iowa in 2015 (go Hawks!) with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. I am endorsed in language arts and social studies. When I’m not in the classroom, I am a youth theater director and Broadway enthusiast. I also enjoy reading and rereading my favorite books, thinking about going to the gym, and ordering Chinese food. I am beyond excited to meet all of you and begin this journey together.
Hello and welcome to Lincoln Middle School! My name is Ms. Meyers and I am thrilled to begin this upcoming school year. I grew up in Elmhurst, IL with my parents and two sisters. I graduated from Illinois State University with endorsements in language arts, science, social studies and ESL. This is my fourth year at Lincoln Middle School and it has become very clear that it is a great learning environment that I am proud to be a part of. Aside from teaching, I enjoy spending my time with my family and friends, reading, practicing yoga and coaching Lincoln Cross Country. I am confident that we will have a very fun and successful year. I can’t wait to meet and work with all of you!
Hello! My Name is Ms.Perez and I am the 6th grade science teacher. This is my fifth year at Lincoln Middle School. I taught 7th grade science previously and I run the science club here at Lincoln. I was born and raised on the Northwest side of Chicago. I went to school at Northeastern Illinois University where I received my bachelors degree in Elementary/Middle School Education. I received my ESL endorsement in 2017 and am currently working towards my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. Outside of work I enjoy being with friends and family, watching movies, and playing with my dog, Jaxon. I am so excited for this upcoming year and to meet all of my new students!
Hello! My name is Ms. Kleszcz. In 2011, I graduated from Loyola University Chicago with an undergraduate degree in elementary education and middle school endorsements in math, science, language arts, and ESL. I have a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. During my first two years here at Lincoln, I worked as a paraprofessional in the Reading Room. This is now my ninth year at Lincoln but seventh year teaching sixth grade math and science. In my spare time, I love to read books, exercise, spend time with my family, and playing with my dog named Zoë. . I look forward to meeting and working with all the new sixth graders
My name is Mrs. Lane, and I am one of the math teachers for the sixth grade team. This is my twelfth year at Lincoln Middle School, and I am very excited to be back! I graduated from Elmhurst College with a degree in Secondary Education/Math and middle school endorsements in language arts and social science. I also earned my ELL endorsement and my Master’s in Educational Technology through American College of Education. Some things I enjoy outside of school are reading, cross-stitching, watching the Chicago Cubs (GO CUBS GO!!!), shopping and playing with my dogs, Bauer and Penny. I look forward to a positive year with the 6th grade students and having a successful and fun year!
